A Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) lets you show your registered logo next to the sender name in supported email clients, such as Gmail and Yahoo, through Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI). Recipients see your mark, and that your organization has been authenticated, before they open the message. In Gmail the logo appears with the blue verified checkmark.
Before you order, prepare the following:
DMARC enforcement. Your sending domain needs a DMARC record with p=quarantine or p=reject. A monitoring-only policy of p=none does not qualify.
A registered logo. The logo must be registered as a trademark with an accepted trademark office, or qualify as an eligible government mark.
An SVG Tiny PS logo. A regular SVG export is often not compliant with the BIMI requirements.
Organization validation. DigiCert validates your organization to Extended Validation (EV) standards and verifies the identity of the applicant.
A BIMI DNS record. After issuance you publish a BIMI record that tells email providers which logo to display.

EV-level validation
The validation process for VMCs follows that of EV SSL certificates, along with the added steps of confirming your logo is trademarked and that your email domain(s) are DMARC compliant. You will also be required to provide notarized copies of ID documents and perform a video call with DigiCert confirming your identity matches them.
