AutoInstall SSL Errors on Linux

Command Not Found

If you see an error such as:

runautoinstallssl.sh: command not found

This usually means that the AutoInstall SSL agent is not installed or the command is not available in the system PATH.

To fix this:

1. Verify that the agent installation was completed successfully. If the agent is missing, reinstall it using the installation command provided on your GoGetSSL order page
2. Run the command using the full path if required (for example /opt/autoinstallssl/aisagent/runautoinstallssl.sh)

Permission Denied

If you receive permission-related errors during the AutoInstall SSL agent installation, such as:

mkdir: cannot create directory '/opt/autoinstallssl': Permission denied
Downloading file…
Extracting file…
tar (child): /opt/autoinstallssl/aisagent.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

This indicates that the script is being executed without sufficient privileges, and AutoInstall SSL requires root or sudo access.

To fix this:

• Run the installation commands using sudo
• Ensure the user has administrative permissions on the server

Operation Not Permitted

In case you are getting the operation permission errors when running the AutoInstall SSL Agent, such as:

chmod: changing permissions of 'shellscript/': Operation not permitted
chmod: changing permissions of 'shellscript/centos': Operation not permitted
chmod: changing permissions of 'shellscript/centos/autoupdatecronjob.sh': Operation not permitted
chmod: changing permissions of 'shellscript/centos/createautoupdatecron.sh': Operation not permitted

This normally means that the agent needs root-level permission.

To fix this:

• Run the execution commands using sudo
• Ensure the user has administrative permissions on the server
