When Will My LEI Appear in the Global LEI Index?
-
Your LEI is valid and ready to use as soon as it's issued. It usually shows up in the public Global LEI Index within a day, and never later than about 30 hours. The same timing applies to updates of your company data.

Why There's a Delay
The Global LEI Index doesn't update in real time. New LEIs and changes to existing records pass through a few stages before they appear in search:
- Once your LEI is issued or your data is updated, the record is sent to GLEIF within a few hours.
- GLEIF collects records from all LEI issuers and adds them to its data set.
- The public search is refreshed once a day, and new data is published every day at 9:00 AM Central European Time.
If your LEI is issued shortly after the daily publication, it will appear in the next day's update. That's why the wait can range from a few hours to just over a day.
Tip: Updated your company's address or other details? Check the Global LEI Index after 9:00 AM CET the next day. If the change isn't there yet, it will show up in the following daily update.

Using Your LEI Before It Appears in Search
An LEI is valid from the moment it's issued, not from the moment it becomes searchable. You can use it right away for regulatory reporting, bank onboarding, or any other purpose.
Important: If a bank or broker can't find your LEI yet, send them the code and explain that it was issued recently. It will appear in the Global LEI Index in the next daily update.

Where to Find Your Issued LEI
Once your LEI is issued, the code is shown on the order page in your GoGetSSL account, even before it appears in the Global LEI Index.
